Time to get organized!
Tagging with our system is fast and easy. Once you have Registered as a Consignor, you will be assigned a unique, lifetime consignor number. This number allows you to enter items all year round - access to our system is 24-hours-a-day/365-days-a-year. This means you can prepare stuff as you clean out closets instead of waiting until just before the sale!

In order to get started, we recommend gathering the following supplies:

  • Computer and printer (black ink only)
  • White cardstock, minimum of 60 lb.
  • Safety pins and/or tagging gun (absolutely NO straight pins)
  • Tape (packing or masking ONLY)
  • Zip-ties or string
  • Various sizes of sealable, plastic bags
  • Copy of our Consignor Cheat Sheet
  • Copy of our Pricing Guidelines
  • All of your items, sorted into categories (i.e. clothing by size, books together, etc.)

Let the tagging begin!
  • Log into the system as a Registered Consignor (Don't have a consignor number yet, REGISTER now).
  • Select the "Enter Items" tab at the top of the screen.
  • Note that your consignor number auto-populates in the "Seller Number" field.
  • Use the drop down menus to select "Size", "Price" and "Category" (REQUIRED).
  • Fill in the description boxes with as much, or as little, information as you desire (OPTIONAL). Please remember the tag is a mini sale sheet! Including color, brand and other identifying terms makes your piece seem more valuable AND it helps us to identify the item in case your tag becomes separated. By completing these optional fields, you will be able to track your sold items after the sale as well as print a detailed inventory / donation sheet up until Saturday, October 10th. We highly recommend adding details, but at this time, do NOT require it.
  • Check the "Discount Box" if you choose to allow the item to sell for 1/2 price on Saturday.
  • Check the "Donate Box" if you choose to allow the item to be donated, if unsold, at the conclusion of the sale.
  • Review your information, then click "Add Item". The entered item will appear as part of your inventory list at the bottom of the page.
  • You may add, delete or edit an item at any time prior to Wednesday, September 22nd at 12pm.

IMPORTANT: Every tag MUST have its own item number so you CANNOT make copies of a tag. If you want to create multiple tags with the same information (i.e. 10 shirt tags at $6) and do not want to enter any descriptions, then you will need to use "I want to create XXX items with the same information". Your set of tags will be created with unique item numbers and you can then print and use.

Time to print.
No special printers needed! Kids-Go-Round does not require you to jump through printing hurdles - no mailing of tags or trips to specified Print Shops. You can print your tags on any printer, at home, the office or at a friend's!

Of course, if you want to use a Print Shop, you can follow the instructions on the system's print screen to create a PDF. Simply bring the PDF to your friendly print shop (Kinko's, Office Depot, etc.), have them print the PDFs on white cardstock and pay a nominal fee.

If printing at home, please follow these steps:
  • Select "Print Tags" at the top of the page.
  • Select the items you want to print. You can choose all, only ones that haven't been printed or customize your selection.
  • Tags will print 8 to a page. To get the most out of your paper supply, remember to print in batches as close to multiples of 8 as possible (8, 16, 24, etc.)
  • Proof your tags!!! Not all printers are created equal. In order to ensure your items scan properly, it is imperative that the bar codes are clear and legible. If in doubt, change the ink cartridge and reprint!

Attaching the tags.
Almost done! This is when organization is critical - you don't want to mix up a set of tags and end up selling a hand-smocked dress for $2.00 instead of $20.00!! Take your time and review your tag's description as you attach it to your item.

Clothing

Safety pin or use a tagging gun to attach the tags to the garments as shown in the diagram below. Clothes must be washed, snaps snapped, buttons buttoned and zippers zipped. It is not required, but pressing the clothing makes a huge difference in appearance….and thus makes the items more likely to sell.

Tagging Diagram

ALL clothing of any type must be hung on hangers (even onesies). Plastic or wire hangers are fine, as long as the hook is regular sized. Items should hang so that the hook makes a question mark " ? ". PANTS should be pinned at the top of the hanger on each side of the waist, NOT the bottom of the hanger. Onesies and outfits can be grouped together and attached securely to the hanger (you don't want your items falling off!).

Bibs, Accessories, Socks, Small Items

These items are best sold when organized into groups and placed within a clear plastic sealable bag. Securely attach your tag onto the bag and you're done.

Shoes
Use a zip-tie or another connective device (string, ribbon, etc.) to tie or loop mates together. Pin the tag around the zip-tie or through a shoelace loop. You can also choose to place connected pairs of shoes in a clear, plastic sealable bag and attach the tag to the bag. Helpful tip: Place your consignor number on the bottom of each shoe just in case the tag falls off or the shoes become separated.

Equipment
Make sure that highchairs, pack-n-plays, bouncy seats, walkers, etc. are clean and in working order. Kids-Go-Round will NOT clean them for you. If the item is dirty or has stained fabric or belt straps, it will be rejected. Tags should be taped onto these items in a secure, readily viewable area.

Furniture and Large Items
These items MUST be set up by the Consignor during drop off. Buyers prefer to purchase items they can visualize and inspect and will not take the time to inspect unassembled items. We will be available to assist you if necessary, but please bring any tools that may be needed for set up. Tags should be taped onto these items in a secure, readily viewable area.

Puzzles & Games
Please be sure that all pieces are included. For puzzles, we recommend either using saran wrap or enclosing the pieces in a large clear, plastic sealable bag
and then placing them in their box. Tags should be attached to these items in a secure, readily viewable area.

Books
Ensure all the pages are intact and that there is minimal, if any, wear and tear. Tags should be taped to the back cover of books.

Toys
Toys must be clean and show minimal, if any, wear and tear. Any toys that require batteries for operation MUST have the appropriate batteries installed and be in full, working order. Toys that include loose pieces should be placed in clear, plastic sealable bags. If necessary, connect multiple bags together with tape or zip-ties.

Recalled Items
Kids-Go-Round reserves the right to reject, at any time, a toy or other item that we think might have been recalled. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission provides up-to-date information on ALL recalled items. Please
CLICK HERE to visit their site. As a Consignor with Kids-Go-Round, it is YOUR responsibility to ensure all items submitted for sale are safe and have not been recalled at any time.
